The Yellow Label, also known in France as Carte Jaune, is the most famous and representative label of the historic and prestigious Champagne house Veuve Clicquot, founded back in 1772 and inextricably linked to the personality of the Grande Dame Clicquot Ponsardin, inventor in the early 19th century of the pupitre, vintage vintage and rosé d'assemblage. This label was first produced in 1877 and, from then on, the yellow colour, classified as pantone 137 C, became a distinctive mark and a great symbol of Champagne.
The Brut "Yellow Label" embodies to perfection the House's style of elegance, energy and vivacity, linked to the predominance of Pinot Noir in the composition of the cuvée, the use of high percentages of reserve wines, vinification in stainless steel with malolactic fermentation and at least 30 months of ageing on the lees in the bottle in the vast cellars dug into the chalk near Reims. All this allows it to perfectly embody the ideal of Champagne and is the reason why it is known and appreciated throughout the world and has become so popular in Italy.
Veuve Cliquot's 'Yellow Label' Champagne has a personality that allows it to be appreciated by the general public but manages to retain some distinctive characteristics that make even the most experienced enthusiasts and tasters fall in love with it. It presents itself in a golden guise embellished with fine bubbles. The bouquet ranges from citrus and yellow fruit to rounder, enveloping notes of vanilla and hazelnuts, with mineral and delicately toasted nuances. The sip is consistent with the nose: delicate, lively, fresh and dry. It is the ideal Champagne to enliven moments of celebration and conviviality, able to accompany aperitifs or fish or vegetable starters with elegance and impeccable aplomb, but also to be savoured at the end of a dinner toasting the health of those present or exchanging good wishes.
