"Clar" is a white wine blend of slightly macerated grapes from Finca Parera winery, produced in the region of Catalonia according to biodynamic principles. It is fermented with indigenous yeasts, left to age for 6 months in cement tanks and finally bottled with the waning moon without any filtration. Its orange color is in fact veiled by some sediments. The bouquet is made up of fresh aromas of citrus and white fruit supported by honey. Fresh and creamy at the same time

"Clar" is the white wine produced by Finca Perera from a blend of typical Catalan and international varieties: according to the intentions of Ruben Parera, the young winemaker who has given impetus to the family business, it should represent the winery's entry label and at the same time reflect the character of this particularly suited land, in which he is fortunate to live.
The Finca Parera bodega's White "Clar" comes from grapes grown in a unique terroir and microclimate, surprisingly not far from one of the most tourist-dense areas in all of Spain: Sant Llorenç d'Hortons is located in the Penedes wine region, which represents the hinterland of Barcelona, shifted slightly to the west. The vineyards have evocative names such as La Plana, La Lengua del pozo, El Anfiteatro, La Viña de Pepe, Las Abejas, and La Malvasia; they are located around 300 meters above sea level, on the slopes of Montserrat, and many varieties are grown there: Xarel-lo in the first place, from a vineyard recovered in the 1940s, and then Malvasia de Sitges, Parellada, Garnacha Blanca, Chardonnay, and Gewurtztraminer. The harvest is conducted manually, and all the grapes are picked in 250-kilo boxes and quickly brought to the winery. The grapes are left to macerate on the skins, with 30 percent of the stems, for several days in steel tanks until fermentation starts spontaneously and completed without any handling of the pomace. The wine matures under these conditions for about 6 months, until spring, when pressing and racking takes place. Bottling is carried out without any intervention or addition, during the waning moon phases.
The appearance of the "Clar" produced by Finca Parera well reflects its deeply artisanal soul, with its yellow ochre color with auburn highlights and veiled appearance. The aromas one picks up are almost in antithesis, almost mild: a freshness of citrus peel, mixed with hints of white-fleshed fruit, leaves room for sweeter, honey-like notes. The taste reveals an interesting balance between creamy softness, some tannicity and a lively freshness that entices subsequent sips, closing on subtle mineral notes. An entry-level white to be paired with roasted white meats, as well as seafood dishes.
