The Italian production company Roy's Club specialises in the production of so-called 'hard seltzer', i.e. low-alcoholic carbonated beverages produced from water, sugar and natural flavourings as basic ingredients. These drinks started to become popular in the 1990s with the phenomenon initially affecting the United States, Australia and England. The popularity of hard seltzers grew mainly in relation to their versatility and relative healthiness when compared to other popular alcoholic beverages. Indeed, hard seltzers can be enjoyed on a variety of occasions and have a low calorie and alcohol content. In Italy, the marketing of these drinks is quite recent and Roy's is among the first specialised producers in the sector.
Roy's Club hard seltzers are made from ingredients such as water, grain distillate, sugar, citric acid and natural flavourings. The water contains carbon dioxide to give verve to the sip, the grain distillate gives a light and appealing alcohol content of around 5% by volume while the sugar and citric acid create a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity. The choice of natural flavourings is then a key step in establishing the character of the hard seltzer. These include fruits such as lemon, bergamot, grapefruit, mango and ginger infusion, each able to bring distinctive characteristics to the drink. The bottles are eventually marketed in numbered series.
Roy's Club's selection consists of light and refreshing low-calorie drinks. From the citrusy taste of the Hard Seltzer 'Lemon and Bergamot' to the bold flavour of the Hard Seltzer 'Lemon and Ginger' and the exotic expression of the Hard Seltzer 'Mango and Grapefruit', Roy's products bring with them a healthy breath of fresh air. Added value for these hard seltzers is their exceptional versatility, which means they can be enjoyed cold on their own or used to make thirst-quenching cocktails.
