In the Castello di Neive, owned by brothers Stupino, is based the homonymous winery; Neive, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, is located in the heart of the Langhe area, surrounded by beautiful vineyards. The Stupino family has in Neive its most distant origins, but it is Giacomo, the father of the current owners of the winery, who, taking advantage of his experience as a surveyor, he began to acquire land and vineyards in the best positions: Messoirano, Montebertotto, Basarin, Valtorta and Cortini. Thus began the cultivation of grapes and thus the production of wine, at first only for domestic consumption, but over the years the company grew and the old cellar in the ancestral home in Neive is no longer sufficient. Thus, in 1964 the dream of Giacomo come true and manages to buy the Castello di Neive, located in the heart of the village and the farms Santo Stefano and Marcorino dal Conte Riccardi Candiani. With great courage and great economic effort Giacomo embarks on a great work of restoration of the vast cellars of the castle and the vineyards, some of which are in disrepair. On the death of Giacomo in 1970 the sons Giulio and Italo continue his work with great passion and determination with a very ambitious goal: to make known to the whole world wines Neive. Goal fully achieved, so much so that in 2012 it became necessary to build a new winery, where transfer all the manufacturing operations of the wine, while the old cellars of the castle with their twilight and their silence have been put to conserve barrels for the aging of wines. There are many varieties cultivated in the vineyards of the company, all the classic Piedmontese, from which the winery produces excellent wines. But are its fantastic Barbaresco, soft, warm and full bodied, who know how to convince and charm even the most discerning palate and that made famous in the world the name of the Castello di Neive.
"Tradizione, ricerca e creatività sono da sempre le parole chiave della sua filosofia, per questo non ha mai smesso di investire nella valorizzazione degli antichi vigneti e ha continuato a sperimentare nuovi metodi di vinificazione, senza trascurare la tradizione enologica locale"
