Castellare winery born from the passion and intuition of Paolo Panerai; it represents one of the most successful in Tuscany. Since the 70s can claim the precious contribution of Alessandro Cellai, an agronomist and enologist, a real force for the winery. The activity of Castellare starts from a very simple principle: to maximize the autochthonous clones of Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera. This relationship with the land is carefully mixed with a constant search of innovation and quality, with the goal of producing bottles of absolute value. The goal, judging by the numerous awards won by Castellare wines, has been achieved in full and has brought this reality to the top of the Tuscan Italian production. The Sodi di San Niccolò is the most important wine produced by Castellare, a wine that has been able to get the best ratings by all major guides. It’s a blend of Sangiovese, in large part, and Malvasia Nera, just the two indigenous varieties of Castellare which bases all its activities. In addition to this historic bottle, the company produces a Chianti of the highest level, which is also the award-winning and recognized among the best in their category. The point that unites all the bottles of Castellare is the elegance that wine can give in the glass: an elegance that combines an extraordinary level of quality at a very close bond with the land. You just have to taste a sip of wine and let yourself be captivated by the preciousness that will envelop your palate, perhaps it is the quickest way to understand the magnitude and tasty of Castellare’s wines.
"Raffinatezza, eleganza e territorialità. Questo è il tripode sul quale poggia l'azienda di Paolo Panerai, che grazie alla collaborazione con l'enologo Alessandro Cellai è stato capace di interpretare con rigore e personalità uno dei territori simbolo del chianti classico e della produzione di vini italiani di gran pregio a livello mondiale"
