Altemasi, "from the highest farms", is a mountain bubble by vocation. The Altemasi style has its roots in the highest hills of Trentino, between 450 and 600 meters above sea level, where the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes of the most suitable vineyards ripen. This prestigious signature of the Trentodoc Classic Method is the flagship of CAVIT, Consorzio Viticoltori del Trentino, composed of 11 Cantine Sociali. For more than sixty years, the Consortium has supported its members in the production of quality wine through the transmission and enhancement of a specialized viticulture, which is best suited to the difficulties caused by the slope of the vines, not without the help of technology: Cavit is PICA, acronym of Integrated Cartographic Platform Agriviticola, which today represents the most advanced technological platform in Italy for the implementation of an intelligent and eco-sustainable viticulture. This systematic scientific approach is also reflected in the express objective of delivering to future generations an intact and healthy territory, preserving biodiversity and native vines.
Altemasi sparkling wines underline the deep commitment to sustainability that pushes to enhance the local heritage and tradition with the use of techniques with reduced environmental impact and great energy savings. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, harvested exclusively by hand, grow on fluvial-glacial and volcanic soils and are influenced by different microclimates that are integrated in the different landscapes, from the plains of Alto Adige to the peaks of Brenta, from the mild temperatures of its lakes to the colder ones of the Dolomites. The strong temperature ranges to which the grapes are subjected determine and favor the aromatic patrimony and maintain an important acid content, indispensable factors to allow the wine long periods of aging on lees. This gives life to labels of a unique and multifaceted personality, enriched by the refermentation in bottle and 15 to 60 months of rest on the lees.
Altemasi wines are characterized by the great finesse and elegance of mountain bubbles. The white perlage that dresses the straw yellow of Brut Riserva "Graal" is a slight prelude to the enveloping scents of citrus, pear and almond released from its complex bouquet, the Millesimato Brut presents, instead, a more fresh and fruity character of green apple in pleasant balance. Pas Dosè has light notes of brioche bread accompanied by the elegant taste of peach and citrus that close in a very fresh long note of almond and vanilla. Excellent and direct representatives of their production areas, Altemasi labels give us the elegance of Trentino-Alto Adige.
