The wine comes from a blend with a majority base of Cannonau, supplemented by a small percentage of Bovale and Carignano, two other historic vines of the area. The vineyards are cultivated in a hilly area, on soils of a calcareous clayey nature and give grapes of remarkable aromatic richness. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks with maceration on the skins. The wine is aged for 8 months in cement tanks and another 9 months in second-passage French oak barriques.
