The Veltliner from Kofererhof is a fresh, rich and mineral white wine with hints of citrus and herbs. The palate reveals sharpness and beautiful tension, balance, minerality, savoriness and long persistence
Kofererhof's Veltliner is a white wine born in the Eisack Valley, in which the nature of the rocky soil on which the vines are grown is expressed. It is a classic mountain wine with a fresh, mineral profile, expressing fragrant aromas of fruit and wildflowers and has a juicy, flowing mouthfeel marked by the immediacy of drinkability. A wine to be tasted young so that the great pleasantness of the fruit can be fully appreciated.
Kofererhof Veltliner comes from a small 5-hectare estate in the Eisack Valley on the foothills of the Dolomites. It is the pure expression of Veltliner grapes, grown on steep, rocky slopes located at an altitude of between 700 and 800 meters above sea level, with sunny exposures facing south. Once the harvest is finished, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in stainless steel containers, with very brief maceration on the skins and rather gentle extractions. It matures for a period of a few months in steel, stabilizing and reaching its perfect expressive maturity.
Veltliner Kofererhof Veltliner wine offers all the pleasantness of a young, fruity white with a fresh profile and a light, agile sip. It has typically territorial character. The rocky soils, the cool climate, and the varieties used make it a label with a beautiful personality, which also proves particularly ductile in table pairings. It presents itself in the glass with a straw-yellow colour. Fragrant and fruity aromas of fresh flowers, citrus, white fruits and herbs prevail on the nose. The palate has a medium structure with a soft and delicate texture. The sip is mineral and juicy, with lively and satisfying freshness.
