SPUMANTE METODO CLASSICO BRUT MONSUPELLO DESCRIPTION

Monsupello winery's Spumante Metodo Classico Brut is largely composed of Pinot Noir with a low percentage of Chardonnay. The enormous attention given to the vineyard from the first moments of cluster development will lead to a result of undoubted quality and fine characteristics. A wine that stands as a proud ambassador of a territory with a deep winemaking tradition: the Oltrepò Pavese

Metodo Classico Brut Monsupello begins to take shape from the harvest, that is when the bunches of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are ready for picking, which is done exclusively by hand and starts in the second half of August. Later on, it is taken to the winery, where the fruit is softly pressed to obtain the free-run juice, which, once racked and clarified, will be fermented in v steel tanks at a controlled temperature of about 18°C. Bottle re-fermentation then follows, with 30 months of ageing on the lees, which will lead to the typical aromas of bread crust and pastry.

The Brut Spumante Metodo Classico from the Monsupello winery, with its fine perlage and powerful persistence, reveals a straw yellow with greenish contours. On the nose, the scents are reminiscent of the bakeries of yesteryear, where upon entering, one was intoxicated by the fragrance of bread crust and brioche, aromas that immediately stimulate the desire to taste this Spumante. On sipping, one is overwhelmed by a wonderful structure where the palate is pinched by the vivid bubbles and kept taut by the superb freshness and persistence. The Metodo Classico Monsupello is perfect for aperitifs or seafood dishes; it still proves to be like the classic rabbit pulled out of a hat, capable every time of leaving one's fellow drinkers open-mouthed and pleasantly satisfied.
