'RE' ROSSO CANTINA GIARDINO DESCRIPTION

Cantina Giardino's 'King' Rosso, a joyful and vital liquid, is part of the Na-Tu-Re triad, the most convivial and everyday line from the legendary winery in Ariano Irpino. Cantina Giardino has for years been a cult reality for lovers of territorial and genuine wines, capable of visceral emotion thanks to their direct and unfiltered expressiveness. The winery, founded in 2003 by a group of friends led by Antonio De Gruttola, was born from the common intention of enhancing an area with immense potential, where it is easy to come across old abandoned vineyards capable, as in the case of Clown Oenologue, of giving life to wines of unequalled expressive power. Aglianico, Fiano, Falanghina, Greco and Coda di Volpe are cultivated without any chemical or synthetic substances, making it possible to harvest alive and vital grapes, allowing spontaneous fermentation. They speak grapes, vintage and territory, and they do so loud and clear.

The 'Re' Rosso wine is made from indigenous red grape varieties grown near Ariano Irpino. In the vineyard, as already mentioned, only very small doses of copper and sulphur are used, as well as natural preparations, so as not to compromise the vitality of the soil and fruit. In the cellar, the credo remains unchanged, thus proceeding with spontaneous alcoholic fermentation and, in the case of the King, with a short 7-day maceration on the skins. The liquid undergoes no clarification or filtration before bottling or adding sulphur dioxide.

The red 'Re' presents itself in the glass with a ruby red colour of medium intensity. The olfactory impact is openly carefree and convivial, unravelling between vinosity, fresh fruit, black pepper, and floral hints. The frank simplicity of the nose is confirmed in a juicy, dynamic sip driven by vibrant acidity and delicate tannic friction that punctually relaunches the drink. A cure-all for every season.
