Duca di Dolle presents Prosecco Valdobbiadene Rive di Rolle Extra Brut "XBRT", a fine limited edition Charmat method sparkling wine that stands out for its immediacy and its fruity, floral aromas. Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Superiore represents, together with Colli Asolani Superiore, the DOCG sub-area of great vocation for the production of this famous sparkling wine. The additional geographical specification 'Le Rive' is in line with the aim of enhancing the best vineyards in the area, and also provides for more restrictive production regulations.
Prosecco Superiore Conegliano-Valdobbiadene "XBRT" Rive di Rolle Extra Brut from the Duca di Dolle winery is produced from pure Glera grapes from a single vineyard over 50 years old with a southern exposure on steeply sloping ground. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately transported to the winery on refrigerated vehicles at a controlled temperature, in order to avoid unwanted fermentation and preserve the integrity of the fruit. Refermentation takes place in steel autoclaves at low temperatures according to the Charmat (or Martinotti) method.
"XBRT" Prosecco Superiore di Valdobbiadene Extra Brut Rive di Rolle has a clear straw yellow hue with a fine perlage. The nose expresses fruity and floral scents, which can be traced back to notes of green apple, pink grapefruit and white flowers. Light, round and fresh on the palate, with pleasant minerality and an inviting aromatic and bitter finish. A typical Prosecco, able to present itself on the table as an accompaniment to lightly structured appetisers and hors d'oeuvres. To be tried on its own as well, perhaps as a refreshing aperitif on a warm summer evening.
