What we appreciate most of the winery Poggio dei Gorleri is the ability to offer a range of wine different character, linked by an appreciable standard of quality and able to satisfy everyone. Even in Pigato "Cycnus" we find these characteristics: a wine that stands out from other labels for the fineness of the fruit that sets it apart, but that is both capable of being full and juicy. Pigato "Cycnus" comes to life in the Gulf of Diano Marina, on clay, hard, stony, dry, where every day the wind blows west, and on which the screw is set in a perfect manner. The vineyards are constantly caressed by salty breeze, which carries with it the scent of wild flowers of neighboring plants: a landscape really evocative for intensity and beauty. The company, founded in 2003 through a passion for wine by Giampiero Merano and sons Matteo and Davide, it’s now a solid point in the wine scene in Liguria, a region which, unfortunately, over the years has lost much of its strong agricultural and wine characterization. Fortunately there are some situations as the cellar of Poggio dei Gorleri, that can express the full potential of an area that once gave birth to great wines. No wonder, then, the goodness of this Pigato "Cycnus", soft and smelling like few, can amaze you with elegance and refinement in the glass.
