Nebbiolo Tibaldi 2021

Langhe Nebbiolo from the Tibaldi estate constitutes an expression of crisp aromas from the Roero area of lower Piedmont. The winery is run by young sisters Monica and Daniela Tibaldi, who learned the art of the trade from their father Stefano and grandfather Tunin, who still support them today in both the vineyard and the cellar. In fact, the Tibaldi family takes firsthand care of all phases of the production process, from the management of the estate's hectares to the marketing of the finished wines, passing through the proper management of vinification, all through a persevering and passionate spirit.

Tibaldi Langhe Nebbiolo comes from only Nebbiolo grapes grown within the Bricco delle Passere vineyard, where the medium-textured soils are characterized by the presence of sand, calcareous marl and steep slopes. The clusters are hand-picked in crates indicatively during the first half of October, with careful selection. After destemming and soft crushing, the must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins, with periodic pumping over aimed at promoting the extraction of the precious substances contained in the solid part. Malolactic fermentation is carried out completely and the wine is left to mature for a few months on the fine lees in the same type of wine containers before final bottling.

The color of Tibaldi's Langhe Nebbiolo is bright ruby red with faint garnet flashes. Intense aromas of ripe red fruits and wild flowers alternate on the nose, enriched by pleasant hints of spices and underbrush. Enveloping and balanced on the palate, with lively freshness and young, well-present tannins accompanying the long persistence on the palate.
