ROSANTICO BRESSAN 2017 DESCRIPTION

Bressan's Rosantico is an experiential rosé, fleshy and enveloping, endowed with multiple nuances. A histrionic and unfiltered communicator, Fulvio Bressan is undoubtedly one of the absolute stars of Italian wine, and it is undeniable that every taste of his wines remains indelibly etched in the memory. A profound connoisseur of his land and viticulture in general, Fulvio knows well that one of the fundamental requirements for obtaining great wines is the perfect degree of ripeness of the grapes, as well as their integrity, preserved with respectful agriculture that does not involve the use of any chemical or synthetic substances. Long macerations and patient ageing allow Fulvio to obtain serious and deep liquids, light years away from some modern interpretations played only on acidity and immediacy. Institutional.

Rosantico wine is made from pure Moscato Rosa grapes from vines over 30 years old grown near Farra d'Isonzo. In the vineyard, as already mentioned, nothing more than a little copper and sulfur is used so as not to compromise the natural balance and vitality of the fruit. In the winery, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation and brief maceration on the skins are continued, followed by ageing in steel tanks. The liquid is not filtered before bottling.

Rosantico presents itself in the goblet with a bewitching bright pink robe edged with auburn highlights. Intense, fleshy nose, with harrowing aromaticity of raisins, bouquets of flowers, and red fruits. The sip is serious and sculpted, though not lacking in flavour and aromatic detail. Remarkable persistence, which also drags by virtue of a remarkably well-crafted saline matrix. Hands down one of the best Italian rosés, energetic and visceral.
