Still red wine, full bodied and intense, warm and balanced, with fruity and balsamic notes, aged in barrique
The Cabernet Sauvignon "Maestro Raro" by Fattoria di Felsina is a wine with an incredible varietal elegance, full-bodied but well balanced, with a remarkably persistent final. The grapes come mainly from the vineyard Rancia Piccolal, now also called the Mastro Raro, adjacent and similar characteristics to that of Rancia from which the reserve of the same name of pure Sangiovese. It was there that the winery has decided to plant these vines of 5400 square meters, with the purpose of having even Cabernet Sauvignon, the best known and most planted red grape variety in the world, the expression of the terroir of Felsina where it is most meaningful. Felsina today is an icon among the Tuscan wines, wines thanks to its rigorous and less prone to short-sighted fashion wine, distinguishing, however, for elegance and personality. Was Domenico Poggiali that in 1966 bought the first core business, laying the foundations of what is today one of the most important winery in Tuscany. The Maestro Raro is a wine with much character and charm. Aromatically played more on the complexity of the intensity, shows hints of spice and flowers that give an unmistakable personality.
