Gin Giüst

The London Dry Gin Valchiavenna from the artisanal distillery Gin Giüst can surprise with its territorial characterization. We are in Valchiavenna, in Lombardy, where in 2020, partners Mauro Ferrari, Marco De Stefani and Omar Bertolini founded this distillery with the common goal of producing a high-quality Gin that encapsulates the essence of the Alpine territory, produced through the use of local wild botanicals and artisanal honey from Val Bregaglia.

Gin Giüst London Dry Gin Valchiavenna is made from a distillate of soft wheat produced in Italy and certified organic, 96.5% pure. This is again distilled in traditional stills according to the London Dry Gin technique, with contact together with the botanicals occurring both directly with the liquid inside the still and in a current of steam. Eight wild herbs from the Spluga Valley are used, including juniper berries, Genepi flowers, dried roots of Angelica sylvestris and flowers of Achillea moscata. Acqua Frisa, an oligomineral water that flows from springs in Val Bregaglia, and artisanal millefiori honey produced by the De Stefani family are also used during the production process, while the use of flavourings, colourants and other artificial substances is categorically excluded.

To the eye, Giüst Valchiavenna London Dry Gin is transparent and crystal clear. Refreshing herbaceous and balsamic aromas emerge on the nose, enriched by sweet perceptions of honey and the characteristic woody and spicy scents of juniper. Pure, light and youthful in the mouth, where soft warmth is supported by lively balsamic freshness. An authentic and refined gin that lends itself to the preparation of a multitude of cocktails.
