Franciacorta Brut Nature 'Neuro V2' 1701

The Franciacorta Brut Nature "Neuro V2" from 1701 is a playful zero-dosage version from Franciacorta's first biodynamic winery. The nose has hints of crisp yellow fruit, with fresh floral and honey aromas, giving way to hints of pastry, typical of a Metodo Classico. A sparkling wine of great freshness and drinkability, particularly jaunty and gastronomic, perfect with fine fish dishes

FRANCIACORTA BRUT NATURE 'NEURO V2' 1701 DESCRIPTION

The Franciacorta Brut Nature 'Neuro V2' from the Lombardy-based sparkling wine producer 1701 Franciacorta is a bubbly with a bright and jaunty personality, the same as Puchicha, the fictional character depicted on the label and created by Neuro, to whom this label is dedicated. Neuro, Giulio's nickname, was one of the friends and associates of the 1701 Franciacorta winery, who sadly passed away too soon. Every year a different version of 'Neuro' is released, as different and unpredictable as Giulio was. In 'V2' the 'Neuro' is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay produced without any dosage.

The 1701 Franciacorta Brut Nature 'Neuro V2' consists of a blend of Chardonnay (90%) and Pinot Noir (10%), varieties cultivated according to the criteria of biodynamic agriculture on the morainic hillsides of the Franciacorta region. Once the berries have reached the ideal stage of ripeness, the grapes are harvested and transferred to the winery, where they are vinified using the white wine method through soft pressing and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation between stainless steel tanks and cement vats. Subsequently, the sparkling wine base is bottled with the addition of draught syrup for re-fermentation according to the Metodo Classico, combined with at least 25 months of ageing on the lees. The process ends with the disgorging and subsequent topping up of the sparkling wine with the same wine, without dosage.

1701 Franciacorta 'Neuro V2' Brut Nature is straw yellow in colour with greenish hues and a subtle, persistent effervescence. The nose offers delicate hints of citrus, flowers and honey that anticipate suggestions of pastry, herbs and almond. The taste stands out for its freshness and momentum, as well as for the fine effervescence that enhances the mineral finish.
