Bodegas Tierra's El Primavera is a rich and juicy red wine made from Tempranillo, aged for 4 months in oak barrels. On the nose it presents a broad and fragrant bouquet, where notes of berries and cherry are accompanied by spicy and herbal nuances, while on the palate it is full and enveloping, with an intense and fruity taste. Perfect with a selection of typical Spanish tapas!
The Rioja ‘El Primavera’ from Bodegas Tierra is a pure Tempranillo characterized by its juicy fruitiness, expressing some of the youngest vineyards cultivated by the winery. Specifically, the grapes destined for this label come from the territory of Labastida, in the Rioja Alavesa region, precisely from the Anda Verde plot. In the ancient fortified town of Labastida stands the house of Manuel Quintano, dean of the Burgos Cathedral who during the 18th century introduced winemaking techniques learned in Bordeaux to Rioja, which was a true reference in the industry at the time.
Bodegas Tierra ‘El Primavera’ Rioja is a 100% Tempranillo from young vines cultivated on the southern slope of the Labastida territory. The clusters are handpicked and then vinified through alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins for a maximum of 7 days. Subsequently, the mass is aged for 4 months in equal parts in new American and French oak barrels, just enough time for the wine to micro-oxygenate and absorb some of the wood aromas. The processing is completed by bottling and further brief resting in glass.
The Rioja Bodegas Tierra ‘El Primavera’ has an intense purple-red color. On the nose, initial hints of cherry, berries, and aromatic herbs are perceived, soon followed by hints of violet and notes of underbrush and sweet spices. It has a rich and enveloping taste, with good freshness and non-oppressive tannins, as well as a juicy, fruity, and slightly spicy finish. It is a Rioja Tinto with excellent versatility in food pairing, suitable for a wide range of dishes such as cheese and charcuterie boards, rich appetizers based on legumes, and grilled white meats.
