CREMANT D'ALSACE CHARDONNAY BRUT AIMÉ STENTZ DESCRIPTION

Crémant d'Alsace Chardonnay Brut from Domaine Aimé Stentz is a young, clear and fragrant Metodo Classico. It is a version made to highlight and enhance, above all, the elegant and refined floral and fruity aromas typical of the grape variety. The choice of a rather short ageing period on the lees preserves intact the grapes' varietal character, enhanced only by a few slight evolutionary hints that do not change its profile. Its pleasantly immediate sip makes it perfect for enjoying as an aperitif, accompanying seafood or vegetable hors d'oeuvres, and drinking at the table with delicately flavoured white meat fish cooked in a simple manner.

DomaineAimé Stentz's Chardonnay Brut Crémant d'Alsace is a sparkling wine that comes from an estate that has retained an artisanal approach and produces a range of wines that express the authentic character of the Alsatian terroir. The estate covers 14 hectares, is managed under organic farming methods, and has plots located in some of the most prestigious areas of the region. The Chardonnay vines are cultivated on sunny exposures, situated between 200 and 400 metres above sea level. The vines are rooted in soils of ancient alluvial nature, composed mainly of gravel, sand and silt, which are very well-drained and perfect for quality wine growing. The best bunches are gently pressed to extract only the free-run juice. Fermentation then takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After a short rest in stainless steel, the vin clairs are blended, and the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, according to the Classical Method, with a period of refinement sur lattes of about 12 months.

The Classic Method Crémant d'Alsace Chardonnay Brut is one of the most interesting sparkling wines from Domaine Aimé Stentz. It offers a lively and fragrant interpretation highlighting the grapes' excellent quality and fine aromatic richness. In the glass, it has a luminous straw yellow colour with brilliant reflections, crossed by a fine perlage with good persistence. The bouquet offers notes of white flowers, ripe citrus fruit, pear, golden apple, white peach, nuances of toasted bread and almond and dried fruit. It is soft and creamy on the palate, with a ripe fruity richness and a harmonious and suave mouthfeel, flowing into a fresh and persistent finish.
