The Champagne Brut Grand Cru "Moncuit-Delos" is an elegant blanc de blancs champagne, that is, made only from Chardonnay grapes, aged on the lees in the bottle for 48 months. Fresh hints of apple, brioche and citrus emerge from a refined, complex and mineral aromatic range. A magnum of Champagne that we dispassionately recommend!
Pierre Moncuit-Delos' Grand Cru "Moncuit-Delos" is a pure Chardonnay vinified in Brut version. A Champagne that was born in Mesnil sur Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, a terroir that has always had a vocation for the production of Blanc de Blancs of excellent elegance and smoothness. The Maison Pierre Moncuit has based its reputation on a continuous quest for quality while respecting the historic family tradition that has always been committed to producing Champagnes of fine structure and elegant aromatic persistence. Since 1977, Nicole Moncuit, who is passionate about oenology and viticulture, has taken over the technical direction of the House, and thanks to her experience each year, she is able to bring out the characteristic aromas of each vintage in her wines.
The Brut Blanc de Blancs "Moncuit-Delos" is a truly intriguing and expressive interpretation of the terroir of Mesnil sur Oger, a historic Grand Cru in the Champagne region entirely dedicated to the cultivation of Chardonnay. Here the subsoil is rich in chalk and marine fossils that give unmistakable minerality to the sip. With each harvest, maturity and balance are always sought, thanks to rigorous grape selection. Of the 20 hectares the family owns, as many as 15 can boast the Grand Cru designation. From these prized vineyards comes the pure Chardonnay "Moncuit-Delos," which is characterized by its lightness and liveliness.
The "Moncuit-Delos" cuvée from Maison Pierre Moncuit is assembled in thermoregulated stainless steel vats and then left to age on the lees for a minimum of 48 months. Its intense aromas, its typical minerality from the "Mesnil" cru terroir and its natural elegance definitely crown it as a great Champagne Blanc de Blancs. A magnum of Champagne that we dispassionately recommend!
