CHAMPAGNE EXTRA BRUT 'L'INTEGRALE' REMY MASSIN DESCRIPTION

Rémy Massin's Champagne Extra Brut "L'Integrale" is a Blanc de Noir with considerable substance. It is a label that exalts the excellence of Pinot Noir grown in the Côte de Bar, the southernmost part of Champagne. The mild climate and soils composed of calcareous marls are perfect for ripening red grape varieties. The long ageing on the lees gives a particularly broad and satisfying sip. Due to its characteristics of persistence and complexity, it is a Champagne very suitable to be enjoyed throughout a meal, to accompany fish in sauce, white meat or a magret de canard.

Extra Brut "L'Integrale" is a Champagne Rémy Massin from one of the most interesting Maisons in Ville-sur-Arce. This winery cultivates some 20 hectares and makes fine labels with an exquisitely crafted visage, endowed with an intense, rich and mature style. The grapes are selected only from the production of a few plots of old vines on the estate, which yield few bunches per vine but excellent quality and aromatic concentration. The grapes are pressed very softly and the free-run must is sent for white vinification. After a short ageing period, the vins clair are blended to create the final cuvée. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle, in accordance with the rules of the Champenoise Method, with a 4-year stop 'sur lattes' before dégorgement.

"L'Integrale" is an Extra Brut Champagne by the Maison Rémy Massin of extraordinary expressive purity. The choice of a very low dosage allows one to fully appreciate all the aromatic nuances of a great Pinot Noir from the Côte de Bar. In the glass, it has a brilliant pale yellow colour, with a luminous perlage that rises subtly and continuously. The bouquet is intense and multifaceted, with aromas of acacia flowers, citrus fragrances, aromas of white-fleshed fruit, peach, pear, apple, small berries, notes of dried fruit, hints of bread crust and soft sensations of small pastries. Elegant and long, it has a rich and satisfying, ripe and persistent sip, which closes on fresh and savoury notes.
