CHAMPAGNE BRUT 'CARTE NOIRE' JEAN PAUL DEVILLE DESCRIPTION

Jean Paul Deville's Brut "Carte Noire" Champagne is the result of the work of a family-run Maison, which produces a range of Champagnes linked to the ancient traditions of the splendid territory of the Grand Cru of Verzy. In keeping with the customs of the area, it is a blend based on Pinot Noir, to which is added a small percentage of Chardonnay, which contributes to its refined elegance to mellow the face of the cuvée. It is a label with a fresh and fragrant character, made to highlight the youthful and pleasantly fruity aromas of excellent quality grapes. An ideal bottle for those who like Champagne with a direct, clear and immediate personality.

"Carte Noire" is a Brut Champagne that perfectly expresses the personality of the Verzy Grand Cru terroir, especially famous for the quality of its Pinot Noir. Located close to the coteaux de la Montagne de Reims, thanks to a cool climate and highly vocated soils, the Maison Jean Paul Deville produces Champagne with an artisanal face based on an ancient savoir-faire that can count on the experience of five generations of vignerons. At the end of the harvest, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are gently pressed and vinified in white separately. After several months, the vins clairs are blended to create the final cuvée. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle, according to the Champenoise Method, with ageing on the lees for 24 months before dégorgement.

Champagne Brut "Carte Noire," made by Jean Paul Deville, possesses the charm that only Champagnes from small maisons can preserve over time. The fruit of vines grown in a precise area of Champagne manages to authentically express its character, bringing out its best qualities. In the glass, it has a beautiful bright straw yellow colour, crossed by a fine perlage with good persistence. The bouquet is fragrant and fruity, with scents of citrus, lime zest, some delicate red currant aromas, sensations of bread crust, hints of dried fruit and light toasted nuances. The entry on the palate is lively and clear, dry and pleasantly fruity, with a harmonious, savoury finish of lively citrus freshness. A perfect Champagne to enjoy at aperitif time or with seafood appetizers.
