Pommery's 'Apanage 1874' is a Brut Champagne made in honour of the 150th anniversary of the creation of Madame Pommery's first 'Brut'. It is a blend of grapes from the most historic and characteristic villages in Champagne, created by Clément Pierlot, the House's tenth Chef de Cave. The Crus chosen, in line with its predecessors, number 17 and include iconic names such as Cramant, Bouzy and Fleury-La Rivière, to name but a few. The ageing of the greatest vintages, including 2018, 2015 and 2012, along with the precious 'perpetual reserve' takes place for 48 months on the lees in the historic Gallo-Romanesque crayères de la Butte Saint-Nicaise. The result is a buttery, fresh and extremely elegant Champagne characterised by slight mineral hints and aromas of red fruits and citrus fruits. Perfect with shellfish and crustaceans
