"FXF" is a white wine from Irpinia that is made in a Fiano and Falanghina vineyard shared between Cantina Giardino and Vincenzo Nardone. Macerated for 4 days on the skins and aged only in steel, it shows a slender and fresh character, direct and pleasantly rustic, with notes of orange peel, hay, resin and light earthy notes
Cantina Giardino presents Bianco 'FXF', an expression of Fiano with a sincere and genuine soul made using a truly artisanal production approach. This label results from a collaboration between Cantina Giardino and Tenuta Vincenzo Nardone, winemakers from Campania who share the same vision and passion for wine. The grapes come from a vineyard located in the Lapio area that is equally divided between the two wineries, which harvest and process the grapes on their own through the same process, then blend the two finished masses before bottling.
The Campania Bianco 'FXF' from Cantina Giardino and Tenuta Vincenzo Nardone is a pure Fiano from vines grown in the Lapio area on soils rich in clay, tuff and sandstone. The grapes grown by the two wineries are harvested and destemmed by hand and then separately mellowed in steel tanks for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation without temperature control, accompanied by 4 days of maceration on the skins. Once the respective fermentation processes are complete, the masses spend a further 6 months maturing in steel before being blended and finally bottled without any recourse to clarification or filtration.
To the eye, the orange wine Cantina Giardino e Tenuta Vincenzo Nardone Bianco 'FXF' exhibits a golden yellow guise with orange hues. The intense and evocative olfactory range recalls perceptions of aromatic herbs, hay, tea, barley, citrus peel and hints of undergrowth. Rich and tasty in the mouth, very fresh and flowing, with light and pleasant tannic accents. Thanks to its ability to combine depth and agility, the 'FXF' macerated white wine is an excellent accompaniment to seafood or earthy preparations with character.
